Based on the book The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow.
Based in 1799 the film centres around constable Ichabod Crane as he tries to solve the mystery of the murders that have been committed in sleepy hollow by a headless horse man. in the beginning he is sceptical about the horse man until he encounters him when he murders the magistrate Samuel Phillips, he loges at the home of the Van Tassel family and during the investigation starts to fall in love with Van Tassels daughter Katrina. in the end he discovers that Katrina's step mother has been controlling the horseman and he dispatches the horseman who takes Katrina's step mother with him back to hell.
