What I like about this film opening:
I like this film for multiple reasons the main ones are:
Its the exact opposite of what a horror film should be, so for once you don't have to sit there watching it and saying " Don't go in the room, don't go in the room, she went in the room! that's why you don't go in the room!"
I think the narration in the first scene is effective but it should of been stopped after that. I also like the fact that the first scene is great because they way its shot makes it seems more like a horror film.
Also I think the scene where the kid ignores the box and starts playing on his phone is funny because it would usually be one of the things that set up a normal horror film. However the main reason I like this film is because its so simple: Its was simple to make and its simple to understand.
